How do I sign up for Work Release or Direct Work?

You must be referred by the Superior Court at the time of sentencing. You may pick up an application in person at 345 Skyway Drive, Camarillo.

Per Section 4024.2 of the Penal Code, physical labor will be performed to maintain public facilities, support of nonprofit organizations, and weed and graffiti abatement. Work sites may be located anywhere within the county and are operated in all weather conditions.

Clothing must provide protection from normal hazards associated with working outdoors. Long pants and sleeved shirts are mandatory. Work boots, gloves, and hats are strongly recommended. You must provide your own food. Water is provided at each worksite. Orange safety vests are provided to all workers and are worn at all times. If you report for work with inappropriate clothing, you will not be allowed to work and must reschedule the work day.
