The Ventura County Probation Agency – Human Resources Unit functions as a self-contained HR unit within the agency, while also working hand-in-hand with Ventura County Human Resources.  The unit fills vacancies of both sworn and non-sworn personnel as required, and monitors candidates’ progress from initial testing through the background investigation process.  Other functions of the unit include: disciplinary processes; work-related and non-work related leaves of absence; participation in internal investigations; annual benefits enrollment; processing of all personnel action paperwork; and agency credential and badging functions.
