Chief Deputy Patricia E. Olivares began her career with the Probation Agency in 1984 as a Group Supervisor working at the Clifton Tatum Center and the Juvenile Restitution Project. In 1985 she became a Deputy Probation Officer.

Ms. Olivares graduated from Oxnard High School in 1978. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education from California State University, Los Angeles and a Master’s Degree in Leadership and Management from the University of LaVerne. She is a graduate of the Chief Probation Officer’s of California Command College.

During her career with the Probation Agency, Ms. Olivares has worked a variety of assignments including Investigations, Field Supervision, Juvenile Intensive Supervision, Institutions, Professional Standards Unit, and several specialized assignments such as the liaison to the VCIJIS project and the South Oxnard Challenge Project.

Ms. Olivares is currently responsible for the Adult Field Services Division (including AB109/ adult realignment and SB678). She is an agency trainer, has a firearms instructor certificate from the FBI and is an agency range master. Ms. Olivares is an avid sports enthusiast and loyal Lakers fan.
